New clearance requirements if the volunteer HAS BEEN a resident of PA continuously for the past 10 years:
1) Apply for the Act 34 Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check (Free).

2) Apply for the Act 151 Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Free).

3) Prospective volunteers that have been a resident of Pennsylvania during the entirety of the previous ten-year period must complete the ZVAA Act 153 Affidavit for exemption from the FBI Federal Criminal History Clearance (Free).
4) Complete the on-line Mandated Reporter Child Abuse Training program and obtain the certificate of completion (Free). The program takes approximately 3 hours to complete; you may start and stop the training as needed.
